TASTING NOTE: This superb new Malbec from the Durigutti brothers comes from a very low-yielding vineyard in Gualtallary, planted back in 2005 at 1,360 metres. One of those wines that has notes of Burgundian Pinot Noir as well as northern Rhône Syrah, this is spicy, textured and peppery with notes of tapenade and blackberry, sappy acidity, finegrained tannins and no oak intervention at all. Drink date: 2021-2027. Score - 94 (Tim Atkin, MW, timatkin.com, Argentina Special Report 2020) |
