TASTING NOTE: There was an attractive mixture of herbal, spicy, berry and creamy oak in the nose of the 2017 Tonel 46 Cabernet Sauvignon, which made it very approachable and expressive. It has some varietal characteristics, mainly the texture of the Cabernet tannins, and it finishes with sweet fruit but not with sweetness. 50,000 bottles were filled in November 2017. Here, the wine matures in used oak barrels for ten to 12 months. Drink date: 2019-2021. Score - 91 (Luis Gutiérrez, robertparker.com, Oct. 31, 2019) |
