RESERVA MALBEC 2019 Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FABRE MONTMAYOU
Santa came early this year with this fresh new 2019. It has an extremely deep intense dark purple colour. The nose explodes with fresh ripe fruit - it’s attractive, slightly spicy, juicy, plum, black cherry and cassis with some sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, intense, ripe plum-cherry-blueberry flavours with a lingering, harmonious, gently cedary, fairly high acid, fresh finish. Versatile, ready-to-drink and excellent value. This reliable 100% Malbec sees 60% aged in French oak for 12 months. It has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L19421 on the back label. The recommended best buy 2018 (**+) was released on April 3, 2021 at $18.95. CSPC 261867
