TASTING NOTE: From Finca Piedra Infinita in Altamira, a vineyard planted on gravel and limestone soils, this is Zuccardi's expression of the local malbec, their take on the variety when grown in the mountains with nothing to interfere. Whole-cluster fermented in concrete, although without malolactic fermentation, and aged there for 10 months, this is a wine that's pure in its delicious fruity expression. This is the sixth version of the first of the wines from the Piedra Infinita de los Zuccardi winery in Altamira, a kind of declaration of principles about how they view malbec from that part of the Uco Valley.
