TASTING NOTE: This is Susana Balbo's most ambitious torrontés, and it has been made since 2010, although the official version, without the excess of toasted oak, comes from 2013. This year it has a very pronounced accent on herbal notes. It was aged for four months in barrels, which provides spices amid white fruit and a very mountain acidity. From the beginning, this torrontés has come from Altamira, and the height of that area in the Uco Valley lends it a much more ethereal, more acidic, and more herbal character. [Drink through 2024+.] Score - 94 (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2021) |
