TASTING NOTE: For Q Malbec, Zuccardi selects vineyards from Altamira and Los Chacayes, two high-altitude zones in the Uco Valley. This shows the warmth of the 2020 season with its dark fruits and sweet spices. The texture, however, is firm (as usual in modern Uco malbecs), the acidity provides freshness, and the finish is herbal and succulent. An excellent approach to a red from the Uco Valley in a year that was not entirely suitable for producing fresh wines like this one. Score - 93 (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2022) |
