TASTING NOTE: Emma is Zuccardi's top bonarda and it's a tribute to their grandmother, Abuela Emma, who, at 93, remains active in the winery. This wine is from the San Pablo and Altamira zones (in similar quantities), both cold places in the Uco Valley. That characteristic imprints that freshness and vivacity on the fruit, especially in a year that wasn't too warm and therefore underscored that red fruit and acidity to produce what may be the best Emma to date.
