Deep yellow-gold colour. Fairly intense, slightly peppery, gently cedary, spicy plum nose. Quite elegant, bright, quite attractive, accessible, honeyed dusty prune flavours. Quite interesting with a bright finish. Last appeared in Vintages on January 10, 2004 at $58.95. |

Tasting note: Here's a twelve year old with loads of personality. At first, the palest gold appearance, and then the nose befriends you with peat, cereal, citrus and the not unpleasant medicinal smell of nettle tonic. Engagingly light, very smooth and everything harmonizes into a persistent finish. Score - 91. (Patricia Noonan, Wine Access "First In Line E-Report", Jan. 2004) |
