This blend of 90% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon and 5% Muscadelle has a bright medium yellow colour. Lovely, complex, botrytis affected, sweet caramel and Seville orange marmalade nose. Sweet, harmonious, medium to medium-full bodied, smooth, Seville orange marmalade flavours with a long, lingering finish. |

TASTING NOTE: Offers subtle dried apricot, with lemon peel, light toffee and hints of botrytis spice. Full-bodied, sweet and viscous. Spicy and powerful, with loads of apple tart and nutmeg spice character. Better than the 2003 and 2001. Best after 2013. Score – 93. (James Suckling, www.winespectator.com, March 31, 2008) |
