In addition to the great theatrical line-up, discover Ontario’s latest culinary hot spot with innovative chefs creating elegant menus with local greens, meats and cheeses from less than 100 miles away. We are home to the acclaimed Stratford Chefs School as well as set within one of North America’s richest farming regions. Stratford is proud to announce that 22 of our acclaimed restaurants are passionate about their chefs taking locally raised produce and meats and transform your ideas about “home grown”.

Part of that transition, for many people, is learning to incorporate more plant-based foods into their diet, or perhaps eliminating meat/animal products all together. In this two hour workshop, Certified nutritionist Meghan Telpner will show you how to explore vegetarian sources of protein, make your own milk substitutes, easy tips of making vegetarian and vegan meals more hearty and filling, and ways to avoid using soy to replace everything. Savour Stratford Perth County Culinary Week 2010

The third annual Savour Stratford Perth County Culinary Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever! The Culinary Week begins on September 18th with the Stratford Garlic Festival, followed by a week of tastings, workshops and special dinners. The celebrations are capped with the festivities of the Savour Stratford Culinary Festival on September 25th and 26th. The festival includes a two-day outdoor Farmers and Artisans’ Market, Concerts in the park, an old-fashion Pork Roast, a Beer and Wine Pavilion, Children’s Area, Perth County BBQs, the Stratford Chefs School Learning Centre, BBQ, Blues and Brews on Saturday night, followed by the Savour Stratford Tasting on Sunday. Iron Cupcake is a cupcake challenge open to the public which has a similar concept to that of Iron Chef. There will be points awarded on presentation, taste and creativity.
