A superb VINTAGES Spanish bargain only $17.95 ( #515221)
A stunning repeat of the 2022 November 2, 2024 BEST BUY but now even better with almost twice the in-bottle lees aging - totalling 32 months. Medium yellow colour with streams of tiny bubbles. Very attractive, ripe, faintly citrusy, apple-lemon nose with some toasty, brioche notes. Dry, medium bodied, well textured, fairly complex, bright, ripe, apple-lemon-melon flavours with a lingering, gently toasty, effervescent finish.This delicious blend of 38% Xarello, 26% Parellada, 21% Macabeu, 7.5% Chardonnay and 7.5% Pinot Noir has 11.5% alcohol and only 1.2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-0021335 on the back label. Drinking perfectly now.

Surviving 50 years at 6º C

Last Fall a single bottle of Ontario 1975 Chateau-Gai Gamay Beaujolais sold for a world-record $1,000 at a Waddintons auction. Three bottles of this 1975 were opened last October and were tasted by dozens in attendance at the CELEBRATION OF LIFE for winemaker Paul Bosc Sr. All 3 bottles stored at the ultra-cold temperature for 50 years were in perfect condition.
