ASCHERI BARBERA D'ALBA 2012 DOC Piemonte |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

ASCHERI |
This terrific new 2012 has just been released on the General List. Medium deep purple red colour. Warm, fresh, cherry-Damson-plum nose with those tell-tale Piemonte Barbara markers - hints of spice, sandalwood and cedar-vanilla. Dry, medium-light bodied, nicely structured and quite harmonious with very fresh, attractive, ripe blackberry-plum fruit flavours with nuances of tangy red cherry and a touch cedar-sandalwood on the lingering, lifted finish. This is one of the best releases I have tasted – so fresh, vibrant and ready-to-enjoy. It has 14% alcohol and the lot number L.E18 appears on the back label. |
