ASCHERI BARBERA D'ALBA 2012 DOC Piemonte
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ASCHERI
This terrific new 2012 has just been released on the General List. Medium deep purple red colour. Warm, fresh, cherry-Damson-plum nose with those tell-tale Piemonte Barbara markers - hints of spice, sandalwood and cedar-vanilla. Dry, medium-light bodied, nicely structured and quite harmonious with very fresh, attractive, ripe blackberry-plum fruit flavours with nuances of tangy red cherry and a touch cedar-sandalwood on the lingering, lifted finish. This is one of the best releases I have tasted – so fresh, vibrant and ready-to-enjoy. It has 14% alcohol and the lot number L.E18 appears on the back label. CSPC 219790
