TAVEL 2000 ‘Roc Epine’
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Domaine Lafond
Light reddish pink colour. Very pleasant, bright, crisp, plumy, watermelon aromas with a hint of strawberry purée. Crisp, dry, slightly chalky, dusty dried red apple flavours with a touch of rock candy on the finish. A good food wine which is perfect with seafood dishes. CSPC 950709

LCBO Note Status
One of the most full-bodied rosés, Tavel is primarily based on Grenache. Its full body and mellow mouthfeel make it an ideal companion to turkey or ham. Our panel’s tasting note: Colour mid cherry pink. Bouquet reminds of strawberry and cassis with notes of herbs and ‘garrigue’ (the smell of herbs/underbrush/citrus that dominates the air in the south of France). Dry, medium body with good finish.
