ISLE OF ARRAN DISTILLERS |
Light gold colour. Elegant, light, plummy, dried pear nose. Well balanced, dry, only medium-light bodied, flavourful, ripe plum-pear flavours with a refreshing, rounded, caramel-tinged finish. A great whisky for beginners. |

A Vintage Assessments Explorer's Selection! |
Established only in 1995, this 10-year-old represents the first whisky from Isle of Arran Distillers to carry an age-designation. This youthful house is just discovering its house style that Michael Jackson currently describes as “Creamy, leafy. Restorative or with dessert.” (Malt Whisky Companion, 5th Edition, 2004). As with many of the best scotch producers, Arran ‘non chill filters’, because they believe the standard practice of using low temperatures, or chill filtering, to remove particles strips the final product of much of its character. Non chill filtering preserves the intended character. |
