They use 15-year-old single malt whiskies for this liqueur. TASTING NOTE: Nose: Sweet and honeyish, but with hints of malt and smoke. Palate: Orangey at first, then lemon peel and aniseed. Finish: Delicately whiskyish. Suggestions of Speyside. Comment: Substantially darker, bigger, fruitier, drier, firmer, more structured and less syrupy than the [standard] Drambuie without the ribbon.
