Light gold colour. Intense, slightly sweet, Bourbon-vanilla-caramel nose. Fairly dry and quite peppery with some dried lemon and sweet caramel flavours. Seems a bit harsher than previous releases tasted. |

TASTING NOTE: Old gold coloured whisky reveals floral, spicy rye, lemon-vanilla cake and corn syrup notes. Really smooth and elegant, with the oak age giving it more pull to take the sweet edge off the grain. Score – 90 . (Patricia Noonan, Wine Access 'First In Line E-Report', Jan. 2004)) |
