‘WOODFORD RESERVE’ Distiller’s Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

Light amber colour. Rather peppery, sweetish, woodruff anise and cedar shaving nose. Very peppery, tartish, dusty, dried lemon and caramel-directed, cedar shavings flavours. It’s the high proof that makes it seem rather aggressive on the palate. |

A new Vintages Essentials product. Tasting note: This is a strapping big 45% alcohol straight bourbon that has spent six years in wood. Intense, gritty wood on the nose with some maple and corn syrup sweetness and smoke. Intense, fiery almost tannic palate with a very complex, long finish. Wow. Score – 91.
