A Gold-Medal ‘Best in Class’ winner at the 2006 International Wine and Spirit Competition. TASTING NOTE: Pale gold. Complex nose packed with all manner of fruit and fine floral backing. Lavender, violets and rose petal with cherries, apples, peach and pear. Good sweet spice with vanilla dominant. Big, full mouth loaded with malt and hardly a note of oak. Lots of fresh fruit and lively spice in ever so long finish. Decidedly good dram. (Judging panel, 2006 International Wine and Spirits Competition) |
