Clear colour. Slightly spicy, somewhat grassy, dried pear nose - just a bit aggressive. Very good on the palate, a bit peppery, very dry, fairly harmonious, grassy, ripe pear flavours. |

Grappa Tignanello is obtained from the distillation of the skins and pips (pomace) from the Sangiovese and Cabernet used in the production of ‘Tig’. After pressing, the pomace is immediately taken to the distillery. This procedure guarantees that distillation is carried out using the best quality marc possible – high in alcohol and more importantly rich with aromatic characteristics. A very careful selection is then made of the different lots of grappa and only the ones with the most elegance and balance are then blended and bottled (adapted from www.brownderby.com). |
