Nose: Fruitier with dense grapey tones: malty yet nothing like as complex as the 10-year-old. Palate: A silky feel followed by a delicious explosion of peppery notes around the palate. Clean fruit, including the juiciest of plums, balance nicely. Finish: Remains warm and lingering with more emphasis on simple vanilla and malt. Comment: Rich by Glenmorangie standards and very warming. Score - 8 1/4 (out of 10) (Jim Murray, Whisky Magazine, Nov. 2000) |
