Blended Malts are made by a company purchasing barrels of scotch from many different malt producers and creating a whisky to reflect a house style. In the case of Hogshead, Inverheath uses an unusually high proportion of malts from Islay distillers. As a result, this blend has distinctive smoky and peaty aromas and flavour that is rarely found in blends. |
