Sheep Dip gets its unusual name from a time when farmers tried to hide their homemade brews from nosy government officers by labeling their barrels Sheep Dip. Today, Sheep Dip is crafted by blending single malts sourced from the four traditional regions: The Islands, Highlands, Lowlands and Speyside. The whiskies are aged separately 8 to 12 years and are then married together in second use Bourbon barrels. |
