| Fairly deep gold colour. Slightly peppery, vanilla-driven, plummy, prune nose. Slightly honeyed, very spicy, plummy, solid, Bourbon flavours with some slightly harsh, plywood notes on the lingering finish. |

Tasting Note
Nose: leathery and honied; astonishingly soft and delicate; Taste: at first sweet-corn, then a gradual build-up of spices, though the sweetness refuses to fade while a vague murmur of fruit can be found; Finish: long, lots of vanilla threading through, while the small grains and late rye are a treasure; Balance: just one of those effortlessly brilliant whiskeys that seem to get it right without trying. The best ERSBB I've come across as yet. Score - 94. (Jim Murray, Whisky Bible, 2007)
