VIDAL ICEWINE 2006 VQA Niagara River, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer REIF ESTATE
JH score **/**+ JH Note: Starbright, light-medium gold colour. Attractive scents of orangey-honey, sweet apricots, and a hint of roasted nuts and spicy lemon. Clean, with lovely sweet fruit, balanced acidity, and a delightful hint of lemony honey on the finish. Tasty, well-made Vidal icewine, with good structure, balance, and focus. Costly stuff. Now-2015. TASTING NOTE: Racy and electric, like a laser beam of dried apricot and citrus, with hints of clove and allspice. The vivid structure drives the flavors to a long aftertaste, where a mineral element emerges. Drink now through 2018. Score - 92. (Bruce Sanderson, www.winespectator.com, Web Only 2009) Price $ 24.95
