CABERNET FRANC ICEWINE 2007 VQA Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer INNISKILLIN
Julian Hitner’s note: Brilliant, medium strawberry colour. Revealing intense scents of sweet strawberries, cranberries, rhubarb, and a lovely hint of dried red licorice and spice. Clean, with beautiful sweet fruit, balanced acidity, and a delicate, lingering hint of sweet cranberries and light strawberries on the finish. Truly well crafted, with great balance, freshness, and original character. One of Niagara's special gifts to the sweet wine world. Predictably expensive, perhaps overly. CSPC 149963

TASTING NOTE: Deep pink colour and wall to wall strawberry, raspberry, plum and blackberry jam flavours and aromas. Rather full bodied with a long finish and some light tannins on the finale.
