Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer INNISKILLIN
The 2006 (**+/***) was released on February 14, 2009 at $59.85. Here is my tasting note: Fairly deep gold yellow colour. Intense, sweet, slightly spicy, apple purée nose. Intense, viscous, medium bodied, well structured, very sweet, baked apple purée with a caramel-tinged finish. CSPC 87775

TASTING NOTE: Featuring an art label by Gordon Halloran who paints on ice, this Olympic commenorative icewine is quite typical Niagara vidal icewine, now evolved with orange-amber colour and a generous nose of dried apricot, tangerine, tea and honey. It's very sweet but braced by terrific acidity of the 2006 vintage. Mouthwatering orangy finish. Excellent length. Best 2009 to 2013. Score - 94. (David Lawrason, www.winealign.com, 2009) Price $ 59.95
