LCBO Note Status
For years, Green Spot was made exclusively for the Irish market. Beginning around 2004, the product was produced in larger quantities, without affecting quality (as Jim Murray’s review below attests), and sold internationally. TASTING NOTE: ...Crisp, mouthwatering with a fabulous honey burst, alarmingly sensuous. Faint coffee intertwines with the pot still. The thumb-print thread of honey remains but a touch more caramel than yore. This honeyed state has remained a few years, and its sharpness has now been regained. Complex throughout. Unquestionably one of the world’s greatest branded whiskies. Score – 93. (Jim Murray, Whisky Bible, 2007) Price $ 89.95
