12 YEARS OLD HIGHLAND SCOTCH WHISKY |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

GLENGOYNE |
Not presented in the press preview. Here is Julian Hitner’s note: Light-medium golden-orange colour. Intensely peaty with slightly nutted citrus yellow plums (very delicate), nutmeg, white pepper, and spice. Lovely smooth style with delightful integration, style, balance and (delicate) length. |

TASTING NOTE: A 43% 12-year-old expression is the latest addition to the core Glengoyne line up ... Malty and lightly honeyed on the nose, with nuts and a whiff of citrus fruit. Spices, toffee and Terry’s Chocolate Orange feature on the palate. The finish is medium in length, consistent, with pleasing, mellow oak notes and a hint of ginger. Score: 3.5 (out of 5) (Gavin D. Smith & Tom Cannavan, www.whisky-pages.com, undated) |
