BAKER’S 7 YEARS OLD STRAIGHT BOURBON Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Jim Beam Distilleries
Medium golden amber colour. Peppery, rather resinous, slightly sweet, spicy (cinnamon), dusty apple nose. Dry, intense, very flavourful, spicy, extremely bright, cedar-cinnamon flavours with a persistent finish. Tastes better than it smells. Last appeared in Vintages (**) on April 2, 2005 at $42.95. LCBO Note Status
Distillers maintain their house style, with remarkable consistency, from year to year. TASTING NOTE: Nose: Excellent rye bite to firm and sweet nose. Fruity: mature plums and over ripe banana star. Palate: Rye kicks off early and allows bitter and prickly, softly spiced, middle to ensure a characterful, multi-layered bourbon. Finish: Massively complex follow through with quite enormous and beautiful chocolate notes ... Tasty stuff. Score: 8 1/2 (out of 10) (Jim Murray, www.whiskymag.com, June 16, 2000) Price $ 54.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
