Unlike Blanco or Joven/Gold tequilas, reposados must be aged in barrel for between 2 and 12 months before bottling. Even that limited time smooths out the spirit and adds layers of refinement. TASTING NOTE: Classic Tequila nose with lively pepper/citrus aromas. From the oak, this one has a hint of vanilla that adds complexity. Don’t mix this one; enjoy it from a snifter as you would a fine cognac. (Vintages panel, Dec. 2009) |
