St-Germain is the world’s first elderflower liqueur and critics across the globe can’t praise it enough. The Beverage Testing Institute panel awarded it 97 points, declaring it to be: "An instant classic and pure magic for cocktails." TASTING NOTE: The pale hay/yellow appearance is strikingly similar to manzanilla sherry; superb clarity. The opening inhalations pick up wonderfully floral, fruity, guava- and melon-like fragrances of elderflower ... a totally seductive bouquet of the first rank. The palate entry is soft, yet firm; flowery, yet neither oily nor cloying; by the midpalate point the flavor profile offers an ideal taste experience that’s integrated, harmonious, and exquisitely balanced between alcohol level, sweetness, acidity, and floral impact. A perfect liqueur. Score: 5 Stars (out of 5) (F. Paul Pacult, Kindred Spirits 2, 2008)(www.tastings.com, Sept. 10, 2008) Price $ 49.95
