TASTING NOTE: This gold-coloured Islay has loads of smoke and peat, with nuanced and distinctive seaweed flavours (derived from the proximity to the ocean). There are also citrus tones here, which provide further complexity. A touch of peppery spice on the palate really heightens the experience. Long, spicy and peaty finish. Perfect for contemplative sipping. (Vintages panel, March 2010) |
