TASTING NOTE: An outstanding wine, the 2004 Malbec Gran Reserva was sourced from the Altamira vineyard and spent 12 months in French and American oak. Inky purple in color, it exhibits aromas of pain grille, spice box, tobacco, saddle leather, and black cherry. Thick and sweet, it has excellent depth and concentration and superb length. It will evolve for 4-6 years and drink well through 2025. This Gran Reserva is an outstanding value. Score: 92 (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, Dec. 2007) Price $ 21.95
