| Eaux-de-vie are the crystalline brandies made from the wine of grapes or other fruits (in this case yellow plum). They are simply the pure distilled essence of the fruit achieved through direct distillation or infusion. Thus, the aromas and flavours involved are frequently intense and, on occasion, spectacular. Unlike many other Eaux-de-vie, Massenez’s Mirabelle is very rarely used in cooking, instead it should be enjoyed slightly chilled in a snifter. |
