Deep purple red colour. Intense, spicy, somewhat cedary, ripe plum nose with some dried cherry-apple notes. Dry, quite well structured, medium-full bodied, slightly spicy, gently cedary, plums and dried red cherry flavours with a bright, lingering, somewhat cedary finish. Riper and better than the recommended 2006 (**) released on April 12, 2008 at $24.95. |

From a tiny yield of 1.8 tons per acre comes this fine Merlot. A pretty array of aromas on display here, including violets, fresh herbs, blueberry and a hint of bell pepper. Almost Bordelais in style, this Merlot is elegant and refined with good structure and a substantial finish. Cellar it 1-2 years or enjoy tonight with grilled lamb chops. |
