Under established rules, XO Armagnac must have at least 6 years in oak. In Castarède’s case, they blow the doors off that by ageing their XO a minimum of 20 years. TASTING NOTE: Coppery with bronze reflects. Intoxicating and inviting aromas of spices, exotic woods and tobacco. Extremely fine. The palate is enveloping, broad and very spicy, with length and finesse. Exemplary. Score: 94 (Guide Gilbert & Gaillard, 2010) Price $ 99.95
