PENDERYN |
Light yellow colour. Peppery, spicy nose. Intense, medium bodied, somewhat peppery, very spicy, fairly aggressive (46% alcohol), cooked plum flavours with a lingering finish. Penderyn, the solitary distillery in Wales, matures this peated Single Malt first in ex-Bourbon casks, then in ex-Oloroso Sherry barrels. |

Penderyn, the solitary distillery in Wales, matures this intriguing peated Single Malt first in ex-Bourbon casks, then in ex-Oloroso Sherry barrels. The result is a complex whisky showing aromas and flavours of roasted nuts, caramel, ginger and vanilla, with a smooth texture and a lingering, layered finish. Very fine neat, it opens up with a drop or two of filtered water. |
