| Finca La Escondida translates as 'the hidden estate,' which is fitting considering that this winery is tucked away in the mountainous foothills of San Juan, the Argentine province just north of Mendoza. San Juan may not be well known here, but it soon will be when wine lovers discover hidden gems like this bright, fruity Chardonnay - think ripe apples, tropical fruit and hints of vanilla. This really over-delivers for the price. Try it tonight with braised chicken breasts in a cream sauce. |
