RIESLING ICEWINE 2008 VQA Niagara Escarpment, Ontario
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer VINELAND
Orange-tinged light gold colour. Sweet, somewhat citric, fairly pungent, spy, honeyed, ripe lemon-pear nose with some butterscotch and zest of lemon. Very sweet, attractive, medium bodied, well structured, harmonious, still bright, ripe lemon-pear flavours with some butterscotch, brown sugar and caramel on the finish. Quite delicious and ready to sip. CSPC 563445

Best in Show at the 2010 Florida International Wine Show. TASTING NOTE: Aromas suggest mango, apricot, marmalade, honeycomb, poached pear and lime cordial. Medium-sweet with terrific fruit flavours followed immediately by a brilliant ribbon of acidity to keep things very fresh. A superb dessert wine that is adaptable with dishes such as key lime pie and lemon custard; it also works nicely, chilled, as an after-meal sipper. (Vintages panel, March 2012) Price $ 39.95
