| Very deep intense purple colour. Very cedary, baked plummy, spicy, mocha-chocolate nose. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, dried ripe plum flavours with lots of cedary, somewhat herbal, mocha-chocolate notes on the lingering crisp finish. Best with a rib steak. Part of the 90 PLUS (29 items) Vintages release feature. |

| TASTING NOTE: Urraca’s 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon spent 12 months in new French and American oak. It is purple-colored with a nose of spice box, toasty oak, pencil lead, and black currant. Full-bodied, rich, and incipiently complex, this sweetly-fruited, layered Cabernet is well-balanced and lengthy. It will improve for another 2-3 years and offer prime drinking from 2011 to 2020. Score: 90 (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, April 2009) |
