This won Double Gold and Best White Spirit in Show at the 2011 New York Wine & Spirits Competition. TASTING NOTE: Clear with platinum blue cast. Fig, honey, almond nougat, anise and spice aromas. A soft, breezy, slightly tannic entry leads to a dry-yet-fruity medium body of eucalyptus honey, anise cookie, grilled pepper, and dried tropical fruit flavors. Finishes with a lively pink peppercorn and wet cedar fade. Will make for exceptionally interesting cocktails. Exceptional. Score: 92 (tastings.com, July 16, 2008) |
