| TASTING NOTE: Due to the very early burst of warm weather, and then a sudden frost, there may be relatively few pears in Ontario orchards this year. Fortunately, this eau-devie is like a pear orchard in a glass. An explosion of pear fruit on the nose, with touches of orange rind and spring flowers too. Very dry on the palate, with good fruit echoes. The finish is warm and long. (Vintages panel, June 2012) |
