This wine won a Gold Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2012. TASTING NOTE: It's no wonder there is so much grilling going on in Argentina, when their main grape variety is as succulent and meaty as Malbec is. Blackberries and plums lead the nose followed with peppery spices, roasted herbs, bittersweet mocha and smoked meat. It has the structure to stand up to those dense meats as well it is spicy dark and savory with balanced acidity and a charred spice finish. Good value grilling red or alternatively, pair with hard cheeses. Score: 88 (Daenna Van Mulligen, winescores.ca, May 31, 2012) Price $ 14.95
