Body: Remarkably smooth, firm, rounded. Palate: Lightly salty. Leafy (vine leaves?), pine nuts. Lots of flavour development: nuts, honey, cinnamon, dryish ginger. Finish: Spicy, very dry, oaky, smoky, hot. Score – 92. (Michael Jackson, Malt Whisky Companion 4th Edition, 1999) |
