TASTING NOTE: Brilliant medium amber in the glass. Deep, rich aromas of pecan pie, caramel, fig, dried apricot, walnut oil and woodsmoke. Luxuriously smooth texture in the mouth and enticingly sweet-edged, with faithful echoes of the nose. The long, praline laced finish is sublime. A contemplative brandy ideally suited to a tranquil evening by the fireplace. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2012) |
