TASTING NOTE: Sassicaia is a cult red wine, and I adore the producer's olive oil, too. Now we have Poli Grappa Di Sassicaia derived from the pomace of the grapes that go into the famed Tuscan red wine. Delicate honey, floral jasmine, clover blossom essences gently seduce the senses in this golden-hued elixir. The best grappa I have ever tasted. Score: 94 (Gordon Stimmell, The Toronto Star, Nov. 19, 2009) |
