Light gold colour. Attractive, sweet, spicy, candied, ginger nose. Sweet, spicy, intense, ginger flavours with a lingering, vanilla-tinged finish. Last appeared in Vintages (**+) on June 23, 2012 at $32.95 and was Recommended. Too bad about the $13 price increase! CSPC 269407

Created in 1903 by UK-based Berry Bros., specifically for King Edward VII, King’s Ginger Liqueur is a combination of macerated ginger root in a neutral spirit, plus a judicious addition of lemon oil to give the spicy ginger a lovely refreshing citrus tone. TASTING NOTE: Bright ginger beer aromas with a silky fruity sweet medium-to-full body and a warming, peppery, honeyed pickled ginger and wasabi-like finish.
