According to the legend, in the 16th century Spanish conquistador Captain César Monterrey ‘discovered’ tequila when he took the low alcohol sweet, milky native drink pulque and distilled it. It became mescal, the predecessor of what we now call tequila. Tasting note: … has perfumed aromas of vanilla, pepper, dried herb and citrus with a hint of sugar cane. The flavors of pepper, herb, toasty vanilla and spice with a faint sweet impression are clean and bright followed by a fruity, toasty, clean finish. Very attractive. Score – 90.
