‘MYRTILLO CON GRAPPA’ Alto Adige/Trentino, Italy |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
Roner |
This blueberry flavoured grappa has a bright light purple red colour. Spicy, candied, very grassy nose. Sweet, candied, plummy, jube-jube taste that lacked freshness. |

Producer’s note: Our grappa-based liqueurs such as this Myrtillo [blueberry] are made from the best grappas, natural juice, sugar and natural flavours. The difference between these and most traditional liqueurs is that grappa is used instead of [grain-based] alcohol. This tends to add a light dryness to the flavour. We add fully ripe myrtillo berries [blueberries] into each bottle just prior to bottling [to add] an additional layer of fruit flavour to the product. Try chilled after dinner. |
