TASTING NOTE: The 2010 vintage in Niagara was stellar for Merlot, and this Bigmouth speaks volumes about why. Bursting with deep, dark, rich fruit think black cherry, blackberry jam, plum sauce backed by lovely mocha spice and wisps of woodsmoke, it culminates in a layered and lingering finish. Savour with smoked meats and cheeses, or barbecued steaks in a red wine jus. (Vintages panel, May 2013) |
